The Many Health Benefits of Bison: Part 4 – CLAs
June 11, 2017Grill Up An Epic 4th of July BBQ!
June 27, 2017With Father’s Day right around the corner, what to get Dad is the question on everyone’s mind. And while gifts are great, nothing beats spending quality time together – especially if it includes a good meal! So we’ve put together a list of fun (and tasty) things you can do with Dad this year.
Tee It Up
Book a tee time for you and Dad and head out for a day on the fairway. Whether you play a full 18 holes or just hit a few buckets on the driving range, leave the cell phones in the car and just catch up with each other. Before you go, fuel up by treating him (and yourself) to a hearty, homemade Father’s Day breakfast. Include all of Dad’s favorites like eggs, bison breakfast sausage, homestyle potatoes, fruit, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Hit A Home Run
Score some seats for the local baseball team and take Dad to the ballpark for an afternoon in the summer sun. Head over early and set up a tailgate complete with a cooler full of cold ones. While your burgers and brats are sizzling on the grill, work up an appetite by playing a game of catch with your old man, just like when you were little.
Work It Out
For all those fathers working on their “dad bod,” book a class at his favorite gym, go for a bike ride or hit the trails for a family fun run. (Last place has to cook lunch!) Make sure to stock his gym bag with some bison jerky before you go – it’s the perfect post-workout snack.
Anchors Away
Ahoy Matey! Plan an early morning fishing trip to Dad’s favorite fishing hole or set sail for an afternoon cruise along the shore. Remember to check the weather before you head out and pack a cooler full of easy-to-grab food like bison brisket sandwiches, fruit and of course, beverages! Don’t have access to a boat? Make it a beach day instead!
Fire Up The Grill
Looking for a low-key Father’s Day? Stay close to home and host a backyard BBQ. Keep it just family, invite a few friends or open it up to the whole neighborhood! This one’s all about kicking back and keeping things casual. Just fire up your grill and throw on the classics: a few New York Strips, some Rib-eyes, a couple Filets, and of course, burgers and dogs for the kids!
Whatever you end up doing, we hope you have a great day with your families!
