Say hello to the viral TikTok hot honey protein bowl, Honest Bison style. This Cottage Cheese Sweet Potato Bison Bowl is the perfect balance of savory, creamy, sweet, and spicy. With seasoned ground bison, caramelized roasted sweet potatoes, creamy cottage cheese, and a drizzle of hot honey, it’s a craveable combo that’s as filling as it is flavorful. Whether you're fueling up post-workout or just need a quick, high-protein meal, this bowl delivers in every bite.

Ingredients
- 1 pound of Honest Bison Ground Bison
- 1 package of your favorite taco seasoning
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 2 medium sweet potatoes (in 1 inch cubes)
- 1 avocado (diced)
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- ½ tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tbsp oregano
- 3 tbsp avocado oil (divided)
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450F.
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over medium heat. Once the oil is glistening and hot, brown the ground bison using a wooden spatula to break up the meat.
Step 3
On a sheet pan covered with parchment paper, toss the sweet potatoes in the remaining 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, garlic powder, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, and oregano. Roast in the oven for 30 minutes, tossing once in between.
Step 4
Assemble your bowl. In a shallow bowl, add half of the seasoned ground bison, 1 cup of cottage cheese, half of the roasted sweet potatoes, half of the diced avocado.
Step 5
Drizzle with hot honey. Enjoy!

To store the leftovers, separate the cold and hot ingredients. Place the meat and sweet potato in one container and the cottage cheese and avocado in another. Leftovers are good for up to 2 days after making.

To reheat, place the hot ingredient leftovers in the microwave and cook covered for 30 seconds
