As part of our mission to provide the highest quality meats to our community, we are always searching for partners that share our values and high standards. So we are extremely happy to introduce you to our newest Grazing Partner, Richards Regenerative.
Richards Regenerative is a 6,500-acre family-owned and operated regenerative ranch in Yuba County, California, focused on producing the highest quality grassfed and finished beef in the most transparent, sustainable way possible. As the 4th generation in a family of cattle ranchers, siblings Carrie, Noelle and Tom started Richards Regenerative (formerly Richards Grassfed Beef) in 2012. With the vision of bringing the benefits of pastured meats and clean eating to more people, they started by selling whole and half animals to friends and family before quickly branching out to grocery stores, butcher shops, and restaurants across California. In 2016, the ranch officially transitioned to the Savory Institute‘s holistic grazing system, taking a soil-first approach to ranching and furthering their commitment to the regenerative agriculture movement.
They believe in treating their animals and the land with the utmost care and respect, which includes reducing stress on the animal. Here are some of the core tenets of care that Richards Regenerative follows:
