Succulent Bison Skirt Steak

Whether you’re following a strict carnivore diet or are just looking for a really simple yet delicious meal, this Succulent Bison Skirt Steak recipe will hit the spot. This simple yet satisfying meal is so easy to make it will quickly become a favorite staple dish. Skirt Steak is one of our favorite cuts for a variety of reasons. It’s lean yet incredibly tasty and it’s usually less expensive than some of the flashier steaks, making it an excellent choice for a flavorful yet budget conscious meal.

Ingredients

  • 10-ounce-1.5 lbs Bison Skirt Steak or Elk Skirt Steak
  • 1 1/2 tbsp salt, sea salt or smoked salt if you have it
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp rosemary, dried
  • 2 tsp thyme, dried
  • 1 tbsp paprika, smoked
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin powder, dried
  • 1 tbsp Bison Tallow

Directions:

1. In a small bowl mix all of the dry ingredients together. 
2. Rub the skirt steak with bison tallow then rub the skirt steak with the dry rub. Let sit for 30 minutes. 
3.In a large frying pan over medium high heat fry each side of the skirt steak for 1-1:30 minutes each side. 
4. Immediately take the meat off the heat and place it on a plate so it stops the cooking process. 
5.Serve while it’s hot and with an an extra pinch of salt and fresh lime if desired.
